The Finnish Gramona Amuse Competition 2021

On its first Finnish edition, the Gramona Amuse Competition is taking place in 2021. An opportunity to food establishments from Finland to test themselves by merging the world of high gastronomy and fine wines.

An expert jury composed of well-known chefs and sommeliers.

Only catering companies in Finland such as restaurants, hotels, and food service companies can participate, registrations from individuals and freelancers are not processed. Only one application per company will be accepted.



  1. Register for the contest between January 1st and February 28th 2021 at
  2. A chef and a sommelier/wine enthusiast can register only as a team.
  3. One registration per catering company (restaurant, hotel, food service company) is accepted
  4. The company must be located in Finland
  5. Choose if you want to take part in the public online voting or want to be selected by the expert jury only
  6. Receive a free bottle of Gramona Imperial Brut 2015 to taste it and be inspired.
  7. You receive instructions how to submit the photo, description and recipe
  8. Create an amuse-bouche which matches perfectly to Gramona Imperial Brut 2015.
  9. Send a comprehensive description, a good photo and the recipe of your creation
  10. The expert jury must understand which ingredients and techniques have been used. You are free to choose dishes (plate, glass, spoon) and ingredients. If no description, photo and recipe is received, the bottle Gramona (20,89€ ex.VAT) will be charged.
  11. Please do not submit predishes, main dishes, only real amuse-bouche will be accepted




From all the the entries, ten participants will be chosen to the final as follows :

  1. All submitted amuse-bouche will be presented anonymously to the jury.
  2. The jury will select nine (9) finalists by April 15th, 2021.They will decide based on the submitted photo, recipe and description.
  3. The tenth finalist will be chosen by the on-line voting.

If you have chosen to take part in the public online voting, your amuse-bouche will be presented anonymously.

The public online voting will take place during March 2021.

The 10 finalists will be announced on April 16th on The finalists will be invited to recreate and present their amuse-bouche on date later specified on May 2021 at the final competition held in Helsinki.



The final competition will be held in Helsinki at a place that is to be announced later with the exact date.

The 10 finalists will be invited to recreate and present their amuse to the professional jury.

The amuse must be explained on-site by the chef and the Sommelier /wine enthusiast

After tasting and presentation of all the competitors, the jury deliberates in a closed room.

The jury judges the amuse on taste, texture, presentation, originality and most importantly, the combination with the Gramona Imperial Brut 2015. Accordingly, the winner will be announced.
